6 million homes at risk as owners do not have any protection insurance

Nearly six in 10 mortgaged residential properties in the UK are at risk of repossession because their owners do not have any protection insurance.

According to research from Friends Life, some 57 per cent of UK mortgage payers are completely unprotected against the risk of being unable to work.
